version 224 has been fine for lots of conversions but now 226 gives me very bad looking output. I even tried converting the same small clip with 224 and 226. The output of both was same size and same bitrate but the output of 226 looks like it has a very low bitrate. I tried letting avstodvd choose the encoder for me and I tried forcing the encoder HCENC 1-pass and HCENC 2-pass (I never use QUENC) but the output always looks horrible. I'm not really looking for a fix as I can just use 224, I just want to know if this is a known issue or not? If so i'll just wait for the next version.

  2. marioval,

could you please post the log files (both from 2.2.4 and 2.2.6) of your project? They could have info to understand what's going on.

    What about 2.2.5?

Do you get same issue with more than one source clip?

Actually now both 224 and 226 are doing the same thing, really bad output suddenly. I never tried 225. I am first going to delete all my avstodvd folders (I use the no_install versions) then redownload. I will also clean any avstodvd entries out of my registry. I'll reinstall avisynth too just for a goof. If that doesn't fix my issue I will convert my test clips then post the logs here. Thanks.

  4. Uninstall and reinstall your directshow codecs (ffdshow I guess) as well.

Ok so I did what I put in post #3 without going into the registry and it did not work initially. I then repeated everything in post #3 as well as deleted the reg key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\VirtualStore\Machine\Software\AVSTODVD. Everything is back to normal now.
