  1. Hy! my english is terrible but i'll try to write the best i can.... Is there an "all in one" software to completely convert a PAL dvd to an NTSC dvd with original menus and chapters?
I've read everything about in this site but is impossible for me to do that.
I realy need an "all in one" solution for this problem...

  2. Thank you! I tried this way but, as I wrote, is not an "all in one" conversion... there are 4/5 different softwares to use and I really don't understand...

  3. I'm sorry but I really don't need a software that makes a dvd from avi, divx, xvid or photo files... I'm looking for a "professional" tool that makes a format conversion from dvd to dvd. These softwares you're showing to me belong with another tipe of jobs.
I meen something that could reed the .ifo files of a VIDEO_TS folder and convert all the vob files inside in a NTSC dvd.. keeping the original menu

There has been seldom a reason to convert between formats as we get dvd players that support both. I googled "convert pal dvd to ntsf dvd" there were a few listings, but that kind of stuff was revealed.

Are you sure there are no softwares that could make this job? It seems unbelievable to me...

You can convert the main movie by extracting it to MPEG and re-encoding it. But menus and chapters add a fair amount of difficulty if you want to preserve them in the original condition. There are guides here to assist, but no 'All-In-One' converter is available, AFAIK, including anything put out by Nero.

With a forum search, here are some threads that cover DVD menu conversions: https://www.videohelp.com/search.php?cx=partner-pub-7958603558688719%3Agihjc8-79vb&cof=...sa=Search#1075

That said, check some of those threads and you may quickly see why no one has made a All-In-One PAL>NTSC DVD converter. It takes quite a few steps and can get a bit complicated as the DVD format is a bit complex to break down and reassemble from a PAL to a NTSC DVD. When a DVD company creates both a PAL and a NTSC version of their DVDs, they start with the original base video and convert it to PAL and NTSC versions, then create the PAL and NTSC DVDs separately.

If you don't believe it, then why don't you create it yourself? Would you like to see what's involved? Here, read this:

    Baldrick - nice avatar.

For the OP, all I can say is to read the guides as recommended.

  10. I loathe the subject of pal to ntsc and vice versa, I own tons of both and use dvd players to save all the heartache, I have even bought such players for relatives to be able to send them foreign formats.

So............frenksisco, why do you want to do this please, then we may have a solution, thanks
