If it asks to re-install, then the verification of the binaries found some error. That is, they were not installed correctly. Note that other versions (e.g. older or from a different source) will fail the verification.
ffmpegX should be in your /Applications folder.
Download the binaries again. [1] mpeg2enc [2] mencoder and mplayer. Unzip the latter if your browser hasn't already done so. There is no need to move these three files. Just leave them in their download location for now.
Select the three files using the three Locate buttons in the installer window. The URLs in the installer window should change to a local path to the files.
Enter your admin user account password. Press install.
The installer will change permissions on the binaries, copy them to their special location and it will do a few other things to make ffmpegX ready for use.
After the installation is done, quit and re-launch ffmpegX to check if the installer window stays away this time.
If the installation was successful, you may delete the downloaded binaries.
