fastest program

can anybody suggest the fastest program for converting a dvd to vcd i use tmpge and have quite a fast pc and a 1.5 hour dvd took 19 hours any help/suggestions would be apreciated.

Alot of people say CCE is the fastest encoder going right now. Seeing how Ive only used CCE once I cant really say. But I do know I only use TMPG, It may be slower but atleast I can use my computer while encoding. CCE is the biggest CPU hog ive ever seen in a program(Maybe thats why its so fast)

I have a Duron 800mhz,512mb pc133,WinXP.......To do a 2hr movie it takes me anywhere from 9hrs. to 12hrs using 2-pass. If your system is faster then mine you may want to look into some things to speed it up, also you may want to lower the bitrate to speed up the encoding.

So if you want to use your computer while encoding i'd say stay with TMPG, if you want to save a few hours and not use your computer w/o a big ass lag i'd say give CCE a try.
