Ok, so how do you know if you have a private message waiting for you ?
Where's the new indicator to show you have one waiting ?
I used to like it when it showed at the top of the page. Yep, I ask because I don't load up my email reader anymore, I stopped doing that many months ago, another swap file saver
PS: login times out after 5 minutes, I have to keep logging back in, and ever other web page I go to I have to first load it and then refresh it to get latest topics. I don't like selecting the [x] to auto log me in, I prefer to be offline while browsing. Thank you.

THe Notifications at the top will be yellow when you have new messages.
Well, in the older bulletin, (I can't recall the duration) but I would say something like 20 minutes and then I'd be logged off. That was fine for me, I had plenty of time to refresh it by just refreshing the index page. That was my safty method all these years.
To answer your first question.. I don't like the auto login because I don't always want to announce to the whole world that I'm here. I don't mind the world knowing i'm online while i'm contributing to the topic or when posting a quick reply to something that cought my attention, etc etc
The login session is set to 900 seconds so I'm not sure why you are logged of after just 5 minutes. I will try login without remember me/autologin and see how it works here.
Ahh, I see now.. the message at the top, in yellow.
ok, so opening private messages doesn't work. I clicked in the message area, even the down-arrow and nothing happens. So I clicked on the search one and something happens there. Maybe its my dialup and too slow. I'll try again in a moment.
hmm, i still get nothing on the private message, nothing happens.
