Hi
Is anyone aware of a "hard drive camcorder" that will record from an external analog signal to its Hard drive in mpeg2?
Thanks

Hi edDV
I only need standard definition with this feature. Do you have any recommendations for real time MPG2 encoding using an external hardware device? I'm looking for something < $500

The Hauppauge PVR-USB2 is a well respected model.

It is similar to the PVR-250 internally.Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.
