I'm using the ATI-TV Wonder video capture card to record TV shows in MPEG1 format but have a question.

How would you convert this .mpeg file to a .avi? The only reason I ask this is because all my other Seinfeld episodes are in .avi and they take up less space. I don't plan on making them into a VCD format and apologize for posting this in this forum but couldn't find out where it was on the site.
