    I am using a Core 2 Quad Q6600 and capturing compressed 720p at 59.94fps.

I captured a clip from an Xbox 360 (HDMI input) and watched it in real player. The clip was all choppy almost as if it were 45fps, but the audio was in sync. I watched the same clip in Windows Media Player. The clip was smooth, but the audio was delayed by about 3 seconds.

I imported the clip into Vegas Pro 9.0 and watched in there. The audio was in sync and everything was fine. I put some color correctors on it and rendered it with .wmv codec. When the video was finished the audio was out of sync again! Here's the clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lmVkHzhgAA

I don't see why it was IN SYNC in Vegas Pro then when I rendered it, it became out of sync.

I wanted to try to render it again. I rendered it with the same settings this time, but took the color correctors off. The audio was IN SYNC this time WTF. I didn't upload this one to youtube.

Does anyone know what could be causing this or how to fix it?

Also what are the optimal capturing programs and media players?

What is your hard disk configuration? Are you capturing to a RAID or second hard drive?

Are you using the BlackMagic MJPEG codec or capturing uncompressed?

I'm using RAID 0 with 2 750GB WD Caviar Blacks. Capturing with the MJPEG Codec anyway. Apparently my array wasn't enough for uncompressed.

If MJPEG and audio were in sync during Vegas import review, then something is going wrong in the wmv export.

What Vegas project settings are you using?

I do plan on rendering with .mp4 from now on for best compression and picture for youtube use although.

The second render without the effects I used was fine with .wmv

    For project settings?

    Just standard.
Frame rate like 59.9whatever, render quality - best, 8 bit whatever that was, deinterlace - none, etc.

Rendering with .wmv I can choose Quality CBR, 2-pass CBR, Bitrate VBR etc.
I think I used Quality CBR and had the quality at 100%.

I could go and test the other ones and .mp4 (which I will be using from now on anyway), but UNFORTUNATELY my PSU I just bought yesterday died. Now I have to request an RMA...ship it to them (1 week), them ship it back to me (another week). 2 weeks without a PC. FML

You need to better pick the WMV settings, more than likely. High framerate or bitrate could cause issues you speak of.
