I was thinking of getting this capture card, so I can play on my TV, while recording to PC.

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001MH7J7W/ref=s9_simi_gw_s0_p23_t4?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROK...pf_rd_i=468294

Would this work well and also, what extra connectors would i need to buy? The back of my TV has the following ports:-

    HDMI
    VGA/PC
    SCART
YpcPr Audio L and R (Used by xbox 360 at moment)
    PC Audio
    Earphone
    Rf In
Y, Pr, R (Used by xbox 360 at moment)

If this capture card is unable to work for this purpose, can I have cheap alternatives?

    Thanks for reading.

So you only want 720x576i output from your XBox?

You would plug the Xbox into a distribution amp, then run output 1 to your capture device and output 2 to your TV.

    Composite

    Or S-Video

No. You would need to run the XBox set for SD out.

Oh ok. That doesnt bother me, but I have had a quick search for the amps, and I was hoping for something much cheaper. Im a student and have little to no money, hence the cheap capture card. Is there any other way to connect a capture card while still playing on my TV? They are both next to each other if that helps.

Consider this method for recording and watching HD from the XBox360.

This is pretty much the same as what im looking at, but my price range is much lower. £40-£50 im hoping to spend. Im trying to find out is I could use a splitter to send the TV signal to my xbox and PC at the same time, playing in SD, recording it, and saving money on not using amps etc... and any extra connectors to use because of the splitter...

It is a kluge but probably will get a signal to both places.

Baseband 75 ohm video is supposed to use an active splitter to maintain gain and frequency response.

Make sure the Easycap supports PAL60.
