Wondering if anyone out there has any experience with MCE and video quality. Here's what my issue is, I built a MCE PC on Vista Ultimate x64 and have connected it to my HDTV via HDMI. No problems except that everything is blurry. Doesn't matter what I'm doing, checking email, internet browsing etc everything is unclear...When I open Media Center everything is clear including watching recorded materials. Is this a compatibility issue, configuration issue, problem with the TV, problem with the PC? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I don't have the full specs of the TV, it is a 47" Panasonic HDTV 1080i.

And, more information from you would be helpful.

You don't give the model of the TV but I'm willing to assume its a 47" LCD and its native resolution in 1920x1080. ALL LCDs are
progressive displays. You also don't give what your desktop resolution.

So lets assume you have a 1080p television:

Best bet is to connect via HDMI, set your desktop to 1920x1080 at 60hz, set the HDMI port on the TV to 1x1 pixel mapping. "Pixel Mapping" is called something different for each manufacturer. What your doing is turning off any over/under scanning that the TV will do, if it assumes/is defaulted to broadcast.

Why is MCE clearer? Don't know. I'm assuming its detecting the TVs PnP and seeing its native resolution and setting it to that.
    Have a good one,
