  1. XP with MPC-HC

    What tool should I install?

I've seen DirectVobSub which is vsfilter.dll. I'd need to register it manually. Not sure if it will work with other software or interfere with Haali Media Splitter.

The other option is VobSub. However, I've learned in the past that it screws up the aspect ratio of the video. You'd have to manually force an aspect ratio.

    Thanks!

You shouldn't need to install anything to have the subtitles showing, mpchc will display the subtitles itself.

  3. I have subtitle saved as srt file with the same filename as the video file. However, it's not showing the subtitle. The subtitle submenu is greyed out. Is there any option?

    Thanks!

Maybe theres something wrong with the srt,try another srt and see if it displays, just move the other sub out and put a good sub in and name it the same.

  5. The output was set to System Default. When I change it to VMR9 (renderless), the subtitle works.

    What's my system default?

    Thanks!
