I have used Ripbot264 to backup several blueray disks to a media server. Only problem after demuxing I don't have the option to xx copy the audio stream when using the mkv container. I can do 640 Kbps AC3 or lower. I'd rather use the original audio stream if I'm going to all this trouble. If i'm doing a DTS stream, after demuxing it always says pcm at the top right above the audio drop down and never has the DTS icon that I've noticed in all the screenshot for the tutorials. Anyone know whats going on.

Not really, if I select FLAC on a DTS stream I can do x.x copy stream, but it still says PCM above the audio drop down and the final mkv is a 6 channel flac audio stream.

why does it not demux into a .dts?

The best way I've kept the DTS is I use tsMuxer to demux the TrueHD or DTS track from the ripped disk, and after RipBot does its thing I take the mkv RipBot made and mux it with the TrueHD/DTS using mkvmerge GUI. I hope this helps. If you need me to do a screen capture of all the steps I take its not a problem.

Because it does not make SENSE!

If you need lossless audio then FLAC is better because has higher compression!
Also FLAC -> AC3 640 kbps = DTS core 1,5mbps in terms of quality!

I see no reason to waste space for stupid DTS if AC3 is more efficient. Period.

Why all theese ac-3hd,dtshd,...,dtshd2,supershit2 exist, then ?
For the surviving of the factories?
Does it make sense to buy new tech, or not ?

Atak. Thats not the question now is it. I don't need a lossless audio format. I would like to keep the original audio and if I do a media info on the file I would like it to say what the orginal audion is.

Bwizzy, thx, I'll give it a shot.
