I have made several successful full blu ray back ups of movies in my collection using Anydvd HD and Image Burn and they play on PS3 just fine, I recently Purchased Star Trek and Halloween 2 and made full back ups of both movies and they play on my blu ray player, but start to load but don't play on my PS3 stating error code 80029906 so I know the back ups work. Im using TDK DBl BD-R disc imported from Japan like stated other full length back ups work with these disc on the PS3 but not the others movies mentioned. When using Anydvd HD I selected remove region code is this my problem or has anyone experienced this problem with backing up blu ray's in there collection.

  3. Does your PS3 play *any* Blu-Ray discs now? According to the thread below, error codes 80010514 and 80029906 may indicate a hardware failure or defect:

Again, can you play any Blu-Ray discs? If not, it would tend to confirm hardware failure, although you might try a firmware update. (Your error code may just indicate a licensing error, and the possibility is unclear from the above thread, but try a firmware update). At any rate, you should contact Sony.

yes I can play blu ray's, but since Sony last software update I can play movie only back ups and my old full movie (menus, trailers, etc.) back ups. Dose not seem to play new movie full back ups (i.e. Star Trek, Halloween 2)
