Yesterday I encountered a big problem:
I wanted to convert footage with water scenes (fast moving water) from DV to SVCD.
At first I tried to convert this with ULEAD MS with max bitrate to no avail.
The result is, that such scenes are stuttering, i.e the water is not flowing, it jumps from frame to frame (the source is perfect: DV captured directly from SAT receiver).
The I tried the latest Tmpgenc:
- with VBR and highest motion quality: looked good, but could be played on my DVD player (PC wise everything's OK)
- with CBR (at 2200-> max possible with the movie),the motion is OK, no jumps but may macroblocks.
What I need is some advice, how to resolve this problem,i.e. no macro blocks and fluid (pun intended) motion.
