    Can anyone tell me what's the difference between the Plus version and the free version besides the $48 dollars?

    The main difference that I know of is with the non plus version mpg2 encoding was a 30 day trial only. The Plus version gives you unlimited use of mpg2 (SVCD etc)encodeing others may know if there are other things as well perhaps that is all.

    Tmpgenc plus includes :
    - New 2 Pass VBR fuction
    - More Profiles/Level
    - Better handle of the gop structure

    Also with plue, the Mpeg Tools hangs less

    Tmpgenc plus is free for a trial period of 14 days
    Tmpgenc Standard, is free for a trial period of 30 days for mpeg 2.

    Both versions update every 2 weeks....
