My best tool Avidemux would immediately crash upon opening/loading of the few .mp4 files I was trying to join. YAMB 2.1 couldn't even load the .mp4 files into the add box, YAMB 1.6 would add those .mp4 files but that's it...and crashed upon clicking the Start button!

What else could I try? These .mp4 clips are from a single video file...video_1.mp4, video_2.mp4, video_3.mp4........

    Thanks.

  2. I use Boilsoft's excellent video joiner. The best video joiner I have ever used- works flawlessly without recoding the parts and supports most formats. Superb software!

As long as the two files are of the same frame rate then it will work a treat. Join two at a time until all are joined. You should get get a 30 trial of it at:

Thanks azmoth, jimdagys 8) , will give that video joiner a try and I hope that it's as good as AsfBin joiner (for wmv files)...just simple precise joining with no whatsoever recoding/transcoding.

Who is www.boilsoft.com anyway? I hope they are NOT using someone's else software as their own by simply changing the name? cause there isn't any physical address on their web site/no company location, phone contacts etc....hmmmm very interesting, can I trust them with my credit card purchase?

    Best regards.

If boilsoft works I might add it to our tools list...

  6. Try ImTOO products too. They do a good video joiner, but possibly the files have to be re-encoded with ImTOO's as with many video/editors or joiners out there prior joining of vid parts.

I like Boilsoft's joiner because this is not the case and it works very fast-matter of a minutes giving superb results. Boilsoft is reliable. 8) as with all Net purchases you take a risk and that risk is yours alone but most credit cards have insurance as part of the agreement do they not to protect from this in user agreement?. If there is no contact address never purchase-Trial it!
I am not sure if they traded with a different name before.

Boilsoft's Video Joiner couldn't do the job just like YAMB (at least for all the .mp4 files I wanted to join with codecs posted in post 1).

I got lucky today as the original owner who posted all those split .mp4s responded to my msg and was kind enough to send me the Professional Video Joiner/Splitter by Aone (official name is Ultra Video Joiner/Splitter).

You can install just the Joiner alone (8.5 mb) or just the Splitter (11 mb), after testing both (install/uninstall a few times to make sure they installed cleanly and also uninstall cleanly), I'm really impressed by the simplicity (no confusing settings in Option/preference) and performance (joining 11 .mp4 files into a single 1.7GB .mp4 took only 27 secs with no conversion/recoding/reprocessing) and the end result is superb!

  8. Surprised Boilsoft never worked but pleased you found a solution for your problem. Link those 2 files I may trial them out myself on a few of my jobs to be done.

And it plays fine and the runtime is correct?

Strange that noone can make such a simple joiner/splitter free software/open source. Maybe based on ffmpeg or mencoder.
