    Hi, to all my first time here as a member, my question is i have a mkv file 3.58gb size when i convert it on convertXtoDvd the final convert is 2.35gb,is any thing that i am doing wrong? I thought bigger size better quality. I tried this on Linux with DeVeDe and the size still the same 2.??gb, thanks for any comment on this,riky.

    Perhaps the file doesn't need that much bitrate ?

    Try AVStoDVD. However there are limits to the bitrate allowed for DVD. So if the video only runs 30 minutes or so then you won't fill the disc. If the video has very little action then the encoder may decide that a high bitrate isn't required.

The mkv file run time 1h35min i think is enough to fill a dvd."If the video has very little action!!" Again i'm lost, thanks for some directions, and i think i will bee happy if i can fit 2 movies in one dvd but with good quality, is why i have this mkv file @3.58gb for good quality,thanks again for the reply.

    1h35min video footage should fill all the DVD5 size, with about 6500 kbps avg video bitrate. Give a try to AVStoDVD.
