Im looking to upgrade is it true these are not even 720 HD TVs??? I was reading something like 480. I know I have played blu ray on it before it looked great. You mean if I get a tv that is 1080 that same blu ray will look better. It has hdmi on the back just thought it was HD not 480 I current have HD from direct tv it looks HD.

  2. Projection TVs have high breakdowns plus bulb replacements. That's not a good deal. RPTVs have a lot of disadvantages flat panels don't, poor viewing angles, screen door effect, uneven screen brightness, noise, loss of PQ as bulb degrades, dust on optics affecting performance. For about $100 more you can get a 50" Panny plasma that will blow the DLP away and has a one year warranty, double that if you use a credit card that doubles the warranty.
