Well, "nice" is a point-of-view.
---
especially if your target audience is the YouTube World.
Anyway, the easiest way I know is, first, create a VP62 (or H264) .AVI file in VirtualDub,
and second, remux it into a .FLV with ffmpeg.

You don't need to convert your videos in order to post them on YouTube... YouTube will do that for you.
Another service I like to use is www.blip.tv, because you can upload your DivX files and it will transcode them and push them out to other services, including YouTube. Also, it gives you a link to your file in the original format, so it's a great way to keep all the quality of your original file while making it available in Flash, too.
Blip.tv will also give you a direct link to the .flv once it finishes transcoding it online. -
Hi, Baldrick.
So, it's possible to convert AVI files to mp4 with h264 video? Quality output is much better than flv's?
1- Can you tell me if some sites like YouTube and other XXX ones ( like xvideos) accept such kind of material to be viewed?
2- Can you give me some settings concerning about sound in such material? I mean: which audio formats, bit rates is proper for those videos?
thanks.
