Well, I'm a little late with this, seeing as titot4u solved the problem. Anyway, jdobbs (the writer of BDRB) says this on page 331 of the 337-page BDRB bug report thread:

The versions referred to by jdobbs as tested and verified are ffdshow: v. 3133; and for Haali, same as above, i.e. v. 19421.

And now titot4u has confirmed v. 3176 also works. If setting up BDRB for the first time, use known good versions of Haali and ffdshow. If you have it working, for goodness sake don't be in a big-ass hurry to get "latest versions"!
