Hello, I'm having a small issue... I have a Hauppauge HD capture card and I film vids from my Xbox360 fine. When I want a small portion of a video I use the Cut program on the software that came with the capture card called ArcSoft Total Media Studio. I cut the portion of the video that I don't want and I save the file to finish the edit. When I first capture the video it auto saves as MPG4 When I edit the video by cutting a portion out It saves as an Arcsoft video or some unrecognizable video file.. Then when I upload that small video that I edited to youtube it won't work... If i upload the full video as MPG4 it works.. I don't know how to change the edited video file to MPG4...? Can anyone help?

Can't you set any export video format settings in totalmedia? Sounds very strange that you can only export to one format. Read the HELP/manual.

Yes, I have three choices... but when I save to make the video into the cut video it auto makes it ArcSoft and I cant change it.

When I cut the video and save the only option is Save as type: TotalMedia Studio Project File(*.TDP)

Hey I'm kinda new to this stuff so please help me out as I go along. I just downloaded Avidemux so I could edit and cut scenes of video from my capture card which I capture on Total Media Extreme. When I open a file on Avidemux I get a little box that pops up that reads "If the file is using B-Frames as a refrence it can lead to a crash or stuttering. Avidemux can use another mode which is safe but YOU WILL LOSE FRAME ACCURACY. Do you want to use that mode?" I click yes and the video is practically in slow motion I click no and the whole system crashes, is there a way to fix this? I just want the video to run smooth so i can cut parts out of it.
Another strange thing I found was that when I play youtube music and then play the video the music from youtube stops wtf? Not only does the video lag or go slow but the sound is choppy.
-Thanks Evas1on -
Well looking at your incomplete PC specs, I'm guessing that since it is running XP on an Intel processor it ain't the latest. That could be your problem, not enough 'Horse Power'. FWIW, even if the video is choppy in AVI DeMux, it should be fine after you save it.
