Can someone tell me what I need to put subtitles into my BD rips? I think I can rip the subtitles using TSMuxer they are the PG files correct? I just don't know how to put them in my WMV HD that I create using TMPGenc Xpress. I've never ripped a movie with subtitles as it's always seem complicated and really invlolved. Has that changed any? Is there a guide for subtitles in WMV HD?

The movie I'm working with is the US verson of Disctrict 9 ithat helps.

I guess you want burned in subtitles? Then it would probably be easiest to try hdconverttox, it can convert to wmv with burned in subs. Or use ripbot264 and convert to mp4/mkv and then convert it to wmvhd.

If you want swicthable subs you must make an asx with a wmv and smi subtitle link, see http://streaming.wisconsin.edu/accessibility/magpie_tutorial/windowsmedia.html .

Next question, how can you tell before purchase if a movie requires subtitles? I want to be able to rip all my movies that I purchase but if they require subtitles like this Disctrict 9 for when the aliens talk, I would rather past. Is there a list somewhere on the internet that might keep up with this data. Apocalypto was like this, and I ended up just ripping the entire DVD and leaving everything intact. It took up more space but for DVD wasnt that big of a deal, but I can't do that for Blu Ray takes up way to much space on my hdd.
