  1. Hi everyone, when I use Nero Burning ROM 9, it looks like there is only option to burn
    1) DVD ISO
    2) DVD Copy
    3) DVD - Video
    4) DVD ROM (Boot)
    5) DVD ROM (UDF)
    6) DVD RON (UDF/ISO)

I have no idea what # 4-6 are. What if I just want to burn data (not ISO file) onto a dvd-r? I see the option in Nero Express, but not in Nero Burning ROM.

What exactly is a DVD - Video? Are these VIDEO_TS files and VTS files?

Use dvd rom UDF/ISO for data files and dvd-video if you want to make a compliant dvd-video with a video_ts files.

  6. Why do they have both DVD ROM (UDF) and DVD ROM (UDF/ISO)? I dont get why there is a combination one of UDF and ISO together.

  12. thanks Johns0, but DVD ROM (UDF) allows me to add data bigger than 2GB. As long as it fits to a DVD 5 disc of 4 GB.

Are you saying DVD ROM (UDF/ISO) is the preferred way of burning data larger than 2GB?

  14. sorry, I misinterpreted what you said. So if I just wanted to burn say, 1.5GB of data, I cannot use DVD ROM (UDF) and have to use DVD ROM (UDF/ISO)?

You can use either but udf/iso supports older o/s so if you tried to use the dvd on win98 then it wont read it.
