Well I'm being slowly phased out here. My zune 30gb that is. The good news it that the xbox live finally got zune video incorporated into the xbox itself. The bad news is that it will only sync with a zune hd model, not the older standard def models.

I even went so far as to try to download the purchased videos on my pc with my zune software but it did not list them (unfortunately I have different accounts for my xbox live and my zune - why I can't remember but it is that way - but with my seperate account it didn't register the purchases I made on my xbox on the pc. And the zune only registers as a playback device not a transfer device on the xbox itself.

So it looks like I'll have to wait for my zune to die before getting a zune hd for the full synch world that is finally happening. The only downside at the moment is that the zune music library is not available on the xbox. They do have last.fm now but I've never really used it so I don't know the pros and cons of it yet. But I can still hook up my zune to the xbox for playback (and my pc is in my main tv viewing room anyway so I am still able to watch and listen to my stuff - its just easier using a console rather than a pc in the living room).

But I'm glad the intergration is getting there. I imagine it must be nice for psp owners to be able to download from the playstation network on the ps3 and do a direct synch without a pc. Less of a hassle that way.

Of course I only bought a few music videos on the xbox. Whenever I want them I can easily do a realtime dub and I'll have them no problem. It's just disappointing that I can't redownload them to my pc through the zune software.....

But like I said its not totally unexpected that they'd be pushing their latest hardware.
