I have several cameras that capture video and I recently learned how to use Pinnacle studio so I'm excited about making some movies of my video and photos. My concern now is that my cameras shoot in different formats and I wonder if this will be a problem if I want to use video from diffrent cameras in the same movie. For expamle. My when I transfer my Pansonic video to my computer using Pinnicle caputure it's .AVI. My sanyo Xacti is Mpeg4. And I also have a Sony camera that shoots video and I'm not sure what that format is. I am going to run into problems when I try to use all this together? or is it possible to mix it all together in a movie using Pinnacle studio. Thanks.

Pinnacle may not support all formats but you can always convert to a format that pinnacle support(see our tools section under all-in-one converters).

Does the conversion degrade the quality of the video?

By AVI you probably mean 720x480 DV format. Panasonic camcorder model number?

The Sanyo Xacti MPG4 is probably h.264. Got a specific model number? What resolution did you shoot?

Same with the Sony. Got a model number?

Conversion will degrade the quality. You will need to choose an edit format and convert all to that.

Also list your exact Pinnacle Studio version and title.
