    Audio is great in Viewer but when moved (by any Means) to Timeline all I get is a red line and beeps.
    Only Single-Payer will reform healthcare.

    The red line means the audio format isn't supported. Change it to something FCP3 supports.

    Keeping the Q short, I didn't mention that none of the render options under Sequence did anything but if I left the pgm running long enough(over 45 min) it does an auto render on its own, and then the audio is fine.... Normal?.....Weird

    Where is your video and audio coming from, is it from a camcorder that is being captured by Final Cut Express. I have had a similar problem with converting a DVD to DV format with ffmpegX. Video is OK when imported but the audio must rendered to use it and it takes 90 seconds for 1 minute of audio.
