  1. HI guys, i am new to this and was wondering how i should render in Sony Vegas 9 for dvd. If i import an mpeg2 file to work on then render it with variable bit rate, it compresses the file. if i set it to constant bit rate it fine. Is it ok to leave as constant bit rate?

sure. you may have to use a slightly higher bit rate with cbr to make the action scenes look ok, but that's about it.

hehe, it just depends on how long your video is and how high the bitrate of your audio is. if you are using pcm or multiple audio tracks the total could go too high. filesize = bitrate x time. if you are making a dvd use a bitrate calculator to determine the approximate bitrate.
