I thought this might be the place to go for info on this... I have a DVR that I got from someone and it's sort of strange. When I pop it into my computer and play it, I can't fast forward at will, you know just move the dvd from one point to another quickly. The main thing is that I cannot import it into Nervision so that I can add menus and things like that. I even copy it to the desktop first and then try and import the files to Nerovision, but for one thing it won't let me import all the VOB files at once, and if I even try and do one at a time, it looks like they are imported, but when you go to play it back, no video shows up, it's just blank. I've had no trouble importing DVD's into Nerovision for menu adding/chapter adding etc... but this DVD is a bit strange. Does anyone know what to do in this situation? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try run fixvts on the copied dvd folder and then import in nerovision.

If that wont help then try use vob2mpg to make mpg(s) from the dvd vob files. No video reconversion. Import the mpg in Nerovision.

Thanks a lot! I'm going to try FixVts when I get home from work tonight and hopefully that does the trick. I think that may do it because this guy is real weird with his DVD's and even hesitant about giving them out, even though he has no rights to them anyway! Hey, this post shows what I'm thinking about while I'm at work! video projects, hahaha
