I have been doing video capture for a number of years, but time marches on. So, I'm putting together a new system, and have had problems in the past with Windows98SE & ME if two or more 'video capture' devices are in the system. For example a TV tuner/capture device and a web camera cause all sorts of problems. This time around I will probably be doing either ME
or XP
(I own both) but I will be combining a TV tuner/capture card and a DV card in the same box (and would probably add a web camera if the thing didn't die). I have been unable to find ANY card doing tuner/analog capture/DV in the same card (they all seem to drop the tuner, and ATI's new HDTV card doesn't seem to be out yet) and will probably go for a tuner-capture(with HDTV) and seperate DV card. Anyone know if any windows will like this without having to re-boot each time I want to use a new device?

I personnally have never had a problem because of a capture card and webcam... and by dv card i suppose you mean firewire it shouldn't cause any problem either... i don't know if you've looked at ati 8500dv which seems to have most of what you want... btw i'm curious as to what you would want an hdtv card(capture, export, viewing?)

I know some ppl who have it and are satisfied with it, as for reviews:

well, personally, i've had a computer with 3 cards plus two webcams all at once. an ATI AIW 128 Pro AGP, a S3 virge video card for a 2nd monitor, and a Cybermail BT878 capture card, an Ezonics II and IBM Pc Cam. ran this on an athlon w/ via kt133a under both ME and 2K with no problems (except that the drivers for the cybermail don't work well in 2K since the company went out of business...) but it's all dependent on drivers and setup. so whatever you choose, it can probably be worked out. from what i've seen, ATI's drivers and software have gotten a lot better in the last 10-12 months.
