    Hi.
Iīm using PS3 media server with a 20Mbit internet connection and a 54Mbit wireless router.
It streams AVIīs, picīs and mp3īs great and HD 720p is ok, but I canīt fast forward,
    then it freezes. 1080p impossible.
My question is: Would a 300Mbit wireless router do 720p perfect? Even 1080p?
Or is internet connection too slow?

Its not the internet connection its the wireless connection. So far as I know the ps3 is wifi G only (54mb) - internal. The internet speed is independent of streaming from a pc/server to the receiving device. (that is assuming of course your file is on the pc itself and you aren't in fact streaming from a website).

You really should consider a wired connection for video. Unless there is a wireless N adapter for the ps3 your fastest option is a wired lan connection to the ps3.

Yeah I had the same problem. 1080p only streams via a wired connection.
