Hi. I'm planning to get a Blackmagic Intensity Pro and heard that it can capture compressed MJPEG files.

I am wondering what programs can import and edit MJPEG files?

    Thanks.

Nevermind .. I just read somewhere that Intensity Pro captures 1gb per minute compressed files - can't handle that.

so I am getting a Hauppauge HD DVR with M2TS captures.

virtualdub can handle mjpeg, but tbh 1gb/min is terrible.
if you use huffyuv to capture, you get somewhere around 60gb per 90 minutes (iirc) and thats lossless, not compressed.

But you will find MJPEG edits and encodes easier (no GOPS). h.264 edits like a slug (long GOPS).
Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.

That's for standard definition video. He's looking at capturing high def (mentioned elsewhere).
