Hello. Merry Christmas.
I am on U Tube and as the music plays there is an image that I want to cature as a *.jpg. I am not at all interested in the video but only to freeze the one image.
I tried to use the PrtScr key on my computer's keyboard (while I put the U Tube video on pause) to capture the image. Then I try to open the file in Paint. This does not work at all. (Where does the image go to?)
I tried to use the PrtScr key on my computer's keyboard (while I put the U Tube video on pause) to capture the image. But I cannot find where image goes to????
Help!
Merry Christmas.

i believe it's alt-printscreen and the image is copied to the clipboard. you need to paste it into a program to save it. windows paint works. --

aedipuss, thank you. It works great!

Now I have the image I want.

BUT, it is an image on Microsoft WORD and contains the image and the rest of the page. How can I convert this *.doc file to a *. jpeg so I can chop off everything - leaving the image?

Also, I have heard that I can use VLC Media Player to record one image from U Tube.

I tried it and it didn't work well. Can you please explain - step by step - FOR THE COMPLETE IDIOT - how to capture an image using VLC Media Player?

WhenI tried I ended up with a *.ps file.
 What is a *.ps file?
 What program is it for?
 How can I open it?
How can I convert it to a *.jpg file?

Use Gadwin Printscreen and capture in "rectangular area", that way you only capture what you want. Gadwin also captures in JPEG,BMP or PNG so it saves a step.
