I have a Asus p5q pro mobo, cpu is Intel 8400, G skill memory 2 gigs,.
Computer restarted on it's own, went directly into bios, changes configuration settings in the bios, back to default on it's own, when I try to punch in values, and save, the bios will not save and revert back to default, then I will just exit bios.
Windows will load, but after restarts itself randomly on it's own, then go through the series of bios cycle, I described above.
The only change, I noticed was my cpu fan speed changed from 1500 rpm's to 3000 rpm's,. I have no way to control fan speed, but monitor with pc probe. CPU temp stay's the same, but fan speed increased.
Thanks for any help.

How many sticks of ram? Just one 2gb or 2x1gb? If it's 2 sticks of ram try only using one stick and see what happens. Or try testing the ram in another pc. Just my 2 cents!
