i prefer to make mu home vieo titiles on pwerpoint oon acunt of its simpliciy and control over entry, exit and emphasis of each element. I then capture the output (full screen with a screen cam) using 25 fps . My screen is 4 : 3 and set at 1024 x 768. te output is super quality avi. I will now convert this to DVD compliant mpeg file PAL i.e. 720 x 576 and put this on the timelie of my NLE which will smart render the title part at least
Will my output look the same as it was when i viewed it on my screen or will it loose its proportions and look odd
...and am i dollowing the right sequence of doing all this?
any hints, advie and suggestions please

It should not lose its proportions if the editor treats it right. The incoming file will have a 1:1 PAR (Pixel Aspect Ratio), and should resize happily to PAL resolution. You will find that your text becomes much softer during the resize, and smaller text may not be readable. You won't know for sure until you do some test renders
