I have downloaded some movies that are avi. files and
i want to burn them on a VCD with nero.
when nero encodes the video, the movies becomes very distorted
and unwatchable.
Anyone got any tips or anything that could fix my problem with Nero?
-ps, TMPGEnc cannt read any of these movies,
and i cannt compress the audio.
thanks for taking the time to read this. :)

If you find out the answner I would love to know it. I am also having the same problum. I am working on useing different templets for Tmpgenc to see if that works. If it works I'll pass on the info. or have you tried the same thing? :)

Do you have the DivX codec installed? Try the Nemo pack under tools at left. Check to see if there are errors in the AVI...use VirtualDub and cut out any errors, then try TMPGEnc again.
I haven't run into a DivX yet that TMPGEnc can't encode into mpeg.
