I am trying to enhance my video. On the computer it plays nicley and clean. When i play it on the dvd player using a 40-50 inch display LCD, I am actually seeing the pixels in certain areas, as small fine squares and also as big ones. I am also seeing my reds and blues coming out in what i can say sun exposed areas only on the tv. The video is also jumpy as in if you really look at the video you see it jumping at you.
Now i reckoned that i would test the video on a normal tv but such quality should not be made exception. What if a high def tv is used? I just want to know how do I enhance the video quality to make it less pixelly and jumpy.

What software are you using to play this on your PC? What type of PC monitor are you using and what size?
If you are are watching in fullscreen, note the 50inch LCD is much larger than your PC monitor and imperfections and pixellation will be much more noticeable
For the color issues, what do you mean reds and blues? can you post a screenshot? -
I have a 17" display with my laptop. The video is fullscreen and i'm useing cyberlink DVD suite to play the video on the pc and i am comparing it with the video i put on dvd to play on my 40-50 inch display tv screen.
I am only seeing the reds and blues coming out when i see it on tv. So i think i put in too much reds and blues but the thing is, I am only seeing it when i am watching it on the tv, not on the laptop.
I am going to try it on an ordinary tv but how do i enhance the standard video for a high def tvHow's My English? -
You could use a higher bitrate. ~4Mb/s is not a lot for a DVD and would be prone to pixellation. If you have to , use a DVD9 or split up your project so you can use higher bitrate . I would use 8-9Mb/s if you could, this should significantly reduce the pixellation
DVD will never look good on an HDTV, even with the best upscaler. A 720x480 DVD has about 1/6 the pixels as full 1920x1080. You need an HD source for HDTV, e.g. blu-ray or PS3
I'm still confused as to what the "reds and blues" are , and why you only see it on the TV, maybe a sample would help
The "jumpy" might be a swapped field order, but it's hard to know without farther description or a sample -
unknown source quality
as poisond... noted, under 4 mb/sec is pretty low bitrate
the quality of the scaling done by the PC and/or TV to get to the native resolution of the screen varies
4:3 SD video blown up on a 50" LCD will show artifacts, 4:3 strecthed or zoomed to 16:9 will be even worse
"reds and blues" - might have a bad cable. Is the TV connected with VGA, HDMI? -
Dvd can look good on a hdtv as long as it has a good bitrate and clean source,it will never look crisp and have the clarity of a good blu-ray picture.
I think,therefore i am a hamster. -
