  1. I've just recorded something (A concert) onto my hard drive that is 87 minutes long...As my burner will record onto the 99 minute CD-r's I didn't expect it to be a problem burning this as a single file to one disc..I fired up Nero, it did it's 'check' on the validity of the MPEG and all was ok, but it spat out the disc before recording started saying there wasn't enough space on the disc... I usually use another program (Fuerio) to burn my Audio discs, and this has no problems with the 99 minute discs, but Fuerio doesn't burn 'data' discs.

So I thought I'd split the file into two halves..I followed the instruction on the site using TPMGEnc, and split the large MPEG file ok, but when I come to burn to disc, I get a warning (On EZCD 5) that the file is not compatible with the VCD format, and on Nero, it didn't go through the file validity check, but it did show the length of the file at the bottom of the window..I burnyt the first file to disc, but although my DVD player recognises it as a VCD disc with one track, 47.40 long, it won't play the file..

I tried a couple of the 'fix' ideas using TPMGEnc, but none of them came up with a useable MPEG for buring as a VCD..

Any ideas where I'm going wrong?

  2. In Nero try going to preferences, then expert features, then set the CDR to 99 minutes.
