Hello, I got this Audio CD and it shows several CDA tracks of 1K each. When I copy it to my hard drive, it copies the 1K data and of course, I don't get the music. It looks like the 1K data is a pointer to another area on the CD for the music itself.

The CD plays with Media Player and on my boombox.

I finally found that I have to rip the CD into a WMA or other format to copy the music to my hard drive. And I also found out I can create a similar CD with Cyberlink software.

I am just curious what this CDFS format is. Or is it another format?

    Thanks,

Give a try to Exact Audio Copy, foobar2000, or even Winamp.

WMA (even the lossless mode) is an outdated option.

Thank you MOVIEGEEK. I read your write-up and it is very informative. I'll try to set up those DMA's and other changes you suggested.

El Heggunte - I read the comments about Exact Audio Copy and am impressed about how it corrects minor CD problems. I used Winamp before just to play music. I didn't know a lot a features have been added. I will try both.

Thank you for the replies. Appreciate it.
