I have a video that plays on my PS3, but no audio output. I have seen this with vbr audio which I fix with VirtualDub. I have tried everything to correct this video, but I end up with the audio out of sync with the video. I think the problem is the bit rate: 40.0 Kbps, but bumping it to 128 creates an out of sync problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Try this, open in AviDemux and in 'Audio' configure use Lame mp3 128kbps..in filters resample to 48khz, and save a new AVI..make sure to include the file extension (.avi) when saving..Hope it helps..

Thanks for the suggestion which I tried. The problem with AviDemux and VirtualDub is resampling causes the audio to run in advance of the video which I can compensate for. But in this case, the audio goes out of sync again latter in the file. This is my first encounter with a video file I could not fix. Any other ideas?
