    Probably this is old-news for many people, but considering that
    not everybody is a "well-informed expert", I think this post won't be pointless.

    While trying to understand better the complexities of the subject "digital audio resampling",
    I happened to find an old piece of software, which is limited to the frequencies 44.1 and 48kHz,
    but works fine (according to my non-audiophile ears at least). It's freeware, but it seems
    it cannot be redistributed freely, so here goes the URL to the "Cubase Helper Files" package,
    which contains the GUI-application Srconv.exe :

    And WaveLab does it even better. :P

    I don't like wavefs44, for instance.

    And since I disapprove Audacity's and Reaper's GUIs as well, ...
