Hi,
I bought a Sonnax 32" lcd wall mount for my samsung lcd tv. I used a stud finder to locate the stud, but when I pre drilled the holes, so far I'm one inch deep and it's cement. I'm not sure if it's just cement board or actually cement, but the stud finder does find studs about 16" apart from each other. Do they make really thick cement board, or do I have cement walls? The stud finder I'm using is a stanley one with auto depth feature.

Is the outside of your house cement block? If so you're probably hitting the block. You can mount into the block w/ mollies but I think the following would work better. If I were you I'd prefer to build additional support off the studs. Run horizontal 2x4's or use a 2x6, attach either end to the studs and then attach the mount to the horizontal piece.
Then again I got nothin'.........

The outside of the apartment is brick, but the wall I'm drilling into is the same wall that is belongs to the living room. I guess some older apartments made concrete walls.
