Hello, I'm having a bit of trouble with my .mp4 file.
I tried the search feature and I realize this problem is out of my scope of understanding.
Being new to this I posted in the Newbie/General Discussions forum.
If anyone can direct me to an appropriate resource I would be very grateful.

I have in my possession a confidential file of mine that for some reason, does not want to open.
I imagine something went wrong during the recording process but I am not sure exactly what happened.
The recording has always gone fine before and nothing appeared to go any differently than it normally did.
The previous recordings were all fine and I had no problem copying it off the SD card, which
continues to work well. The only difference I've noticed is that the file actually doesn't open. Everything
else happened the same as usual.

The SD card it was recorded on is not corrupted and the file appeared to record fine.
However, any programs I try to open it with, or try to convert it with will not recognize it either
as a valid movie file and will usually crash.
I did try opening it in the "Super" program (whether or not this is helpful I am not sure)
and examining the broken file next to the working ones, it is missing information that the other has.

The .mp4 file is about 400 megabytes in length (The same as the other files) - about one hour long.

MP4 files work well on my computer, and the other files recorded from the same source have all
    worked previously (And still do).

In any event I have come to understand that I may just have to let this go,
this is out of my realm of understanding.
From what I have tried to learn about fixing this file it is that it seems very hard to fix the mp4 files,
and to me the -audio- is the most important part of this file.

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions I will be open to try them!
If there's nothing we can do c'est la vie.
    Thank you for your time.

Have you tried demuxing the audio with MP4Box, or mp4creator? What does MediaInfo report about the file?
