Hey guys, so I'm in the market for a computer that's a video-killing machine. I want something that can handle the hi-def videos I throw at it without a hitch, and I figured you all would know a good deal more about that than I. I'll be running Sony Vegas on this baby and dealing with 720p video mostly. I'll be doing some heavy video editing on this sucker.
Now my ideal price is around $1,000 or less. Also, I'm torn between whether to get a desktop or a laptop. A desktop would be cheaper, obviously, but laptops are so much more conveinent in terms of saving space and portability.
Your thoughts/recommendations?
(I'll be used the Hauppauge HD-PVR, so not having expansion bays on the laptop won't be an issue)
