    Is there a way to change a DVD from color to B/W using a program like MPEGStreamclip or MyDVDEdit? I have a DVD that was transferred from VHS and the image is either B/W with pink, blue, green VHS specks or it is very poor color that appears to be washed out, but the specks dominate the image. I know that it is impossible to truly fix the image but if I can change it to B/W it would be more watchable. I also know that I can just fix the contrast on my TV but I want to send the DVD to some friends and I prefer not to have each of them mess with their TV sets if I can just fix the DVD on my own. Here is what the image looks like if you are curious.

    MPSC means a re-encoding
    MyDVDEdit
    myDVDEdit just change display informations (so, will not correct your video)

    You have 2 solutions;
    - use your remote control to decrease TV color
    - re-encode to suppress the color channels (most of freeware/shareware encoding softwares will does the job: the FFmpeg open-source library has this function, and almost evry soft use FFmpeg )
    PS: no hope with iDVD

    bye
