i know i'm a party pooper but the polls are taking up too much homepage space and have deteriorated to meaningless questions that no one cares about. they could go into their own forum sub-section to continue them, but please get them off the home page.
just my opinion of course.

Completely agree with aedipuss. The polls have really begun to scrap bottom. 'Though I'm looking forward to the upcoming one about penis size.

Well guys there is the New Poll ideas thread if you come up with some better ones.
I can honestly understand why Yoda stepped down from the Polls. Coming up with new polls week after week can't be easy.
johns0 seems enthusiastic about being the new "Poll Mod". Lets give him some time... and suggestions when we can think of them.Donadagohvi (Cherokee for "Until we meet again") -

Then again, something to consider for this poll to have any meaning would be to design an equation
that would consider the length girth relationship. Length is important.. but at some point girth becomes the
overriding consideration.
Oh, it's a rainy day and I have too much time on my hands this morning.

And no offense, I understand how some things can grate on one. Some TV adverts, for example, make me furious, and my wife looks at me like I'm stark staring mad.Pull! Bang! Darn! -
Kill the stupid polls! They're OT and beginning to get annoying. -

No I'd rather have a Banana instead (20%)
It doesn't matter to me so I won't vote (60%)
Help, LOSD DVD won't rip in my CD drive (2%)
I don't mind the poles, never have but doesn't matter. -
Well it looks like some may have gotten what they wanted. I no longer see any polls listed on the front page.

Ok. So it's just moved. Thanks for pointing that out stiltman.

Yes, thanks stiltman. That makes it less objectionable, removed from the overhead we must always see when going to the website. But I would dump it entirely and stick with on-topic features.

New idea for a poll..
Is this a meaningless thread?" Who needs Google, my wife knows everything" -
I prefer the poll to the annoying animated advertisement that is there right now.
-
Heck, if it wasn't for this thread, I would have never known. I can't even remember the last time I saw the www front page. I just click my shortcut or type in forum....com

I find the polls moderately entertaining, and do not mind OT subjects. If the pollmaker was restricted to on-topic questions, I suspect the polls would become pretty repetative.
I think all the poll moderators have done a pretty good job in the time I've been a member. Best wishes to johns0 for a long and successful tenure. -
I like polls (especially Chopin). I click on them first and prefer their old location. To miss-quote from the great race: "more polls, more polls." My thanks to all the poll 'generators.' I find them entertaining and sometimes informative.
It's nice to have something in addition to the great information and helpful suggestions that are available on this site. Baldric (and the regulars) rock!Andrew Jackson: "It's a poor mind that can only think of one way to spell a word." -
Love the new Google ads on the front page. Beats those polls by a mile.
There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway. -
You gotta be kidding me. Google ads instead of polls??!!
Like a few others, I liked the distraction of the polls. Some good, some bad, some fun, some to ignore but always easy to get to. Felt like I was adding something to the site. Don't get me wrong, I didn't come here just for the polls (sorry, tgpo, johns0...).
I really don't see how putting an ad in its place helps us out, functionally. Polls are still there but not as quick and easy to use. I'll probably end up ignoring them now like I ignored wherever this ad was before.
So now we get people to click the God-forsaken Google ad and generate some income for the site?Have a good one,
neomaine

The most recent poll about education has sure elicited some interesting responses.
I've gotten quite a laugh reading the back and forth responses of a few members in that thread.Donadagohvi (Cherokee for "Until we meet again") -
