    Hi,
I have a problem... I was recording video using my iPhone but my battery went flat and the phone turned itself off. I managed to recover the file but I can't play it. It has "normal" size for this lenght of the video so I guess that there is all footage in it but it needs to be fixed somehow (maybe the file was not "ended" properly?). Could you please help me and give some advice on how to do this?

Drop it into MediaInfo and post a screenshot so we have some idea of the format. Can you open it with a program like VirtualDub?

I've downloaded MediaInfo and it said that the file is:

    Format : MPEG-4
    Format profile : QuickTime
    Codec ID : qt
    File size : 98.1 MiB

Unfortunatelly I can't open it with Virtual Dub

most video files like that are trash. the important "mov atom" part of the file isn't written until the recording is finished.

But maybe it's worth trying to do something before deleting it completely? I would welcome any ideas!
