Help! I have a few avi files that give me NO Audio after TMPGnc 2.51 encoding in both VCD and SVCD format.
The files have perfect audio before encoding.
After using TMPGnc 2.51 the video is fine but no audio is present. If I try to remove the audio into a .wav file with Nandub and then encode with TMPGnc 2.51 but the audio ends all messed up ( lead skew at the start and a lag skew at the end of the video. The same occurs if I use Nandub to join the audio and video.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Linda

I had this same problem a while back. I think it's just a problem with TMPGENc but I could be wrong. What works is this... go into Virtualdub, and use the frame server. Link to that file from TMP and bingo, you go sound.
My problem had sound for about a minute at the beginning of the MPG but then it cut out... I never experienced one where the sound was nonexistent from the beginning.

Hello,
I had the same problem a while back: audio ok for about 2 mins, but after that no audio.
The problem was the file size, which was over 2 GB. When I used 1,9 GB file I had audio till the end.
Another thing is the use Virtual Dub with frame server as macjohn suggested. I tried that and now I can use 4 GB file size and no probs with audio.
