For those of you who want to control Vista Media Center using your iPhone or iPod Touch I recommend you to check out an application called inControl. For example, it shows the program guide (same information as in Media Center) in the iPhone/iTouch application instead of forcing you to browse the guide using the normal arrow buttons. It also includes support for controlling TVs, projectors, or any other device you might have connected to your computer (using RS-232).
The application also contains Wake-on-LAN support, mouse pad, view for containing the normal Media Center buttons (enter, backspace, arrows, play, pause, rewing, volume,...), and sleep timer.
More information can be found here:
http://www.incontrol.byethost7.com
The App Store application can be found here:
http://itunes.apple.com/app/incontrol/id342279450?mt=8

Note: The text in these screenshots is in Swedish since the Media Center used to make these screenshots was in Swedish. The application will show the same information as displayed in your Media Center.
