I've been burning VCDs since about June of last year, and playing them on mine and a friend's DVD player. I've been using Adaptec Easy CD Creator v4 deluxe, with problems. Every so often, I've been needing to reinstall it. Well, it crapped out completely, and I can't seem to get it to work at all, so I've been looking into other burning programs. So far, I've used Nero and VCDEasy, and while both strike me as extremely neat programs, the CDs they've created simply do not play on either my or my friend's DVD player. They will play on my computer with Sasami, however, and at another friends, some of these VCDs did work, so there seems to be something wrong with either the format or the disks themselves. Can anyone advise me as to what my problem could possibly be? Could I have hit a bad batch of disks? Maybe some settings in VCDEasy or Nero? Has anyone had similar problems?

I'll be as specific as I can, my friend's DVD player is a SONY DVP-C600D, mine is a JVC (I forget which model, I'm at his place now,) my CD burner is a Samsung SCW-230. Any thoughts?
