    Hello everyone!

    I have 2 questions:

    1. Will I be able to play this MP4 file via USB/CD/DVD on Xbox 360 (concerning "Profile [High@L4.0]", "Max Bitrate [15.7 Mbps]" and "Encoding Settings")?
    2. Can I use an external SRT file alongside it?

  2. It might have too many reference frames, 3 is the limit for the 360 (I think).

As for the subs, the 360 wont handle .srt or any other external sub formats at all. The only subs it will handle are those found on DVD movies.

Thanks for the reply. So if I mux the SRT into the file, will 360 show it?

I also heard that the bitrate limit for 360 is 10 Mbps. Does it refer to "Max Bitrate" or "Bitrate"?

    Probably not.

Video is not limited to 10Mbps as such, they just say that using bitrates above 10Mbps "may" result in "less than optimum" performance. In the case of the above video, you shouldn't need anywhere near 10Mbps.

You're right, but the "Max Bitrate" of the above video is 15.7 Mbps. I mean, should I be concerned with that or the "Bitrate" which is 777 Kbps?

Shouldn't be a problem, I have used the same profile with the Xbox 360 many times and the video has always been fine.

If in doubt, encode a small sample about a minute long and try it.
